BRISTOL - A BRIDGE TOO FAR
Minehead AFC have today parted company with their Bristol based management duo Robert Boyd and Gary Hillard, a decision taken mutually . After frank discussions it was felt that it had become unrealistic and logistically too difficult to merge a successful team from players based so far apart. “We couldn’t have asked for any more from Robert or Gary, who have both shown tremendous passion and commitment to the club. But the 120 mile plus round trip has limited the numbers available for group training sessions and the barriers that have stopped them picking a consistent side has proved too great” commented club Chairman Brian Walder. The club are now looking for a new manager, or management team, and whilst not restricting applicants from other locations, any new blood will need to manage training sessions in the Minehead area.
